About Robert Wilde

Welcome,

My name is Robert and I want to assist you in buying the best possible power tools for your next project, or your handyman other half.

This blog will be primarily aimed at the D.I.Y. enthusiast who is looking to upgrade from the tried (and tiring) hand tools, to some of the vast array of power tools. I hope to give some valuable insight into that step, without feeling that you need to buy the store to complete your next project. From the full construction of a garden shed, to the building of a nature friendly bird house or just basic maintenance of your own house.

What do you need?

Which type of tool would best assist you?

Who makes the best tools?

I will only be making suggestions and recommendations based on my personal experiences and preferences, but hope to give you some general information that will help you make your next purchase a more informed and generally better buy.

Visit my advise, review site HERE to see it grow as I spotlite some of my favorite tools.

About Me..

As I have already said, my name is Robert Wilde. I have worked in industrial maintenance for over 15 years and am a serial Do It Yourself project, tragic.

I have varying levels of success depending on the project I attempt, however I feel that with every project completed, I have learned another skill and generally will have found a better way, or realized how the outcome could have been improved. To date, it must be said that I have not yet failed to complete a project, since it is as important to me to finish and polish, as it is to learn the lessons of the task.

I was introduced to D.I.Y. early in my life. My father was never one to employ people to do those jobs around the house, so everything from replacing a fuse to replacing a kitchen was worthy of a project. It eventually came to the point where he built the entire house he has now lived in for the last 20 years. As I was growing up, I would assist increasingly, until I moved out and started my own D.I.Y. Projects. Thanks Dad....

As a family man, there are always jobs around the house that require my attention. In the past I have built a computer desk, because none of the in store units adequately met my requirements for storage or size. A pair of coffee tables with a draw, have you even seen how much they charge for stuff like this! A sub woofer for my home theater sound system, its only a box with a speaker after all. Numerous garden projects from garden beds to feature gardens to retaining walls and rain water collection, and many, many more.. All the projects I have embarked on was always calculated to ensure that my time and effort was going to significantly reduce the cost of the project, I believe that over the years I have saved many thousands of dollars and benefited by increasing my tool collection. You need to buy the right tools to do the job correctly after all.
